Svend Rasmussen Svendsen (Norwegian / American, 1864 - 1945), Oil on canvas 22" X 30" Signed LR "Svend Svendsen". "Svendsen was born in Christiania, Norway on March 19, 1864. He moved to Chicago around 1893 to study at the Art Institute of Chicago. He exhibited in Chicago two years after the Columbian Expo, 1895, and won a prize.
