Russell Freemans work continued to attract attention on the secondary market when "Don't Make Me the Target of All Your Love" reached $4880 at Bonhams Adelaide fine art auction on June 1st 2008. The estimate was $5000 - $6000. The highest price achieved for a Freeman painting still stands at $10,000 dealer Colin Fields commented "Freemans work is not coming onto the market as often as some people would like due to the fact most collectors are holding them in their portfolios as they feel they will continue to rise in value".
