Original watercolor by well known British artist John Shapland. Beautifully executed seascape, most likely Cornwall where he created a lot of his paintings. In excellent condition, with original gilded wood frame and gold matting. The frame is in good condition but could use a bit of a touch up. John Shapland was a painter of Seascapes and Landscapes, mainly watercolors, but occasionally oil. He exhibited at the RA, Paris Salon & USA. He was Principal of the Exeter School of Art from 1899-1913. Image size is 14.5"W x 10"H. Overall dimensions 22"W x 18.5.H.
