This is acrylic oil on canvas and Woodland Style presenting a turtle form and the lines meaning the main direction in which we move with the medicine of life. In the turtle's shell is a painting and the painting is a symbol of Change. That great change is soon to happen, as that great change is a cycle of nature. That is what that evening sun means that is painted in the shell of the turtle. Whether we as a human species survive that coming great change, well difficult to say. We had a chance to live responsibly, we Cree Did Say 157 years ago to the world when you signed the first of the treaties with us that....
Only after the last tree is cut down, only after the last fish has been caught, only after the last river is poisoned, only then will you understand that money cannot be eaten!
This painting I painted from a dream I had, and the lines I painted on there up and down represent the shaking of the land, that occurs when that spiritual turtle starts moving his legs.
